M-42 Flea Market Find Empty M-42 Flea Market Find

    Post by helm40 Sat Aug 27, 2011 11:25 pm

I have been complaining lately that I have not found a decent helmet in years at my local Flea Market. Today paid off. A very nice German M-42 single decal helmet. The liner is nice and chinstrap is all there. Enjoy the pics.

I will get some pics of the chinstrap. It does not seem like the issue type chinstrap, but has been on the helmet for a long time. You can see partial rb numbers on the end. Probably a chinstrap is better than no chinstrap. I paid 150.00 for it. 20 years ago I could buy these for 25.00

M-42 Flea Market Find Empty chinstrap pics

    Post by helm40 Sun Sep 04, 2011 8:58 am

I finally had the chance to get some pictures of the chinstrp on this helmet. I think it is the original chinstrap, just streched and pulled from wear. The buckle, I believe has just been replaced. Field repair?
