Got this really rare japanese jeitai winter pattern.

I believe only jackets were made into this pattern...

you can compare against the regular jeitai and see is the same pattern, but the green on the regular jeitai became brown in the winter version, it also feels the brown has a "thicker" stroke than the summer.

Doesn't really look winter effective IMO, Just a much darker target than the standard issue version. Razz

I think they made full uniforms out of this pattern, I've seen them is US Army/Marine Public Rec Photos, need to check just in case.

I have a boonie hat in this pattern, but there are no markings inside of it at all. I've always assumed it is purely commercial, however the jacket I have doesn't use military labels either, so now I'm confused!

Tha JSDGF contingent that attended AASAM 2012 down here in Australia had the the jackets only in the browner coloration as per above. If I realised they were that desirable I would have tried harder to obtain one through trade!

From what Danilo found out it is genuine issue, but bought outside of standard military procurement. If true, it is somewhere between official issue and private purchase.
