    Mystery time guys and gals.

    Any ideas on this-dated 1965(will post pics of the rear later on).

    Looks like early '58 Pattern waterbottle pouch - they had the twist lock closures. Don't know exactly what year they went to the strap and ladder arrangement. The rear should have two 'C' hooks for attachment on the web belt, much like the previous '37/'44 patt equipment.

    Laughing Laughing Laughing ,that was why i bought the pouches going from the pics but when they arrived theyre much smaller than the waterbottle pouches Crying or Very sad

    Approx 15cmx9cmx7cm.

    Any chance it's an early/prototype L2A2 SUIT pouch?

    Questions, am I reading the back right?

    8820-99-120-0182"?

    Also, how wide are the loops on the back? Would it have fit on the front straps connecting the yoke to the ammo pouches?

    Found out that it is to carry a spare battery pack for a British Army A13 Radio.

    Yep,took me AGES to find its identity Very Happy

    No good to me though as i dont have the radio to go with it(it came with some other webbing bits and bobs)

    I remember seeing one of these pouches when I served it had a two thirds size water bottle and mug ,
    only ever seen one .
