Trial DPM PCS PECOC Smock
just won the auction for this trial DPM PCS/PECOC smock, i say PCS/PECOC as other trial items seem to state PECOC even though its issued now as PCS? This is the picture from the auction, i'll take a few more when it arrives.

Re: Trial DPM PCS PECOC Smock
right then, sorry for the delay, judging by some of the features this jacket (/smock?) looks very trial indeed if its not commercial, which i certainly hope it isnt.
unlike other current issue versions the chest pockets are closed by zips:
Large tilted pockets on both upper arms
Showing flap fastening of upper arm pockets, note the black button, was expecting the standard green ones
two smaller pockets on the forearms, assuming for padding like the UBACS, again zip closed
and finally the label, which, in my experience says all the right things about an MoD item, but obviously no NSN, however also no mention of trials?

Re: Trial DPM PCS PECOC Smock
very interesting bit of kit...very hard to figure out its authenticity, the sleeves pockets looks very legit
the material looks to be the thin mtp ones, is it?

Looks very cool Mate, Ilasco are on the Defence clothing register, so I wouldn't rule out commercial as such, Trial piece a strong possibility.

Re: Trial DPM PCS PECOC Smock
Is it possible that it was a trial piece for a contract bid? Purely a stab in the dark and by the way I have no knowledge of contracts and bidding so ignore me if I sound stupid.

Re: Trial DPM PCS PECOC Smock
I wrote about this somewhere. I work in wholesale military
We have tons of stuff on British Army - PLCE, DPM uniforms, DDPM uniforms, MTP uniforms, patches, rank slides, smocks, hats, ospreys, assault vests, etc...
It's work in paradise

Re: Trial DPM PCS PECOC Smock
Yes - inside to zip/express pockets. (is there compass pouch and mesh net like in my jacket?)
I think, Your jacket is a part of set with my trousers, and my jacket is in other trial complete set
