Nothing special about these other than they are unissued and 2 are still in their wrappers.

What strikes me though is how completely different they feel and look when new.

Back in the late 80s early 90s when i was seriously into the Grunge music scene i went through loads of these used shirts, along with the fur lined parka and Para boots and remember these shirts were faded almost to a grey colour and quite smooth to the touch whereas these are a nice green colour and soft to the touch.

Ahhhhh, the good days when music was good not like all this teen crap thats around now Sad Sad Sad

I'm of the same age you i think Gulf ..... happy days indeed. You look at the yoingsters nowadays and they all wear clothing that looks high fashion but is often cheaper than the moleskin stuff you can buy now. Good old Primark, eh ? Very Happy

I never see kids in surplus clothing now - everyone's a conformist model !

High fashion Dave Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Im only 40 and sound like an OAP tut tutting at some of the bizarre and weird clothes the youth of today wear, sometimes i nearly pee in my pants with laughter.

For me,nothing comfier than a pair of 501s,either a pair of Converse Chucks or Adidas Sambas with one of my favourite Military Jackets or Shirts on top(depending on weather) from Vietnam OG shirts or Jungle Jackets,M65,M51 or M43 field jacket amongst others.

That same combination could have been worn by anyone in the 60s or 70s and still looks the biz now in my opinion Laughing Laughing

Ha, I was just about to write: Grumpy old men! Very Happy

Here in Denmark the youth never stopped wearing OD and camo jackets with their jeans and big, black boots or Chuck Taylor's.
The uniform of the non-conformists, I guess?

At the moment French CCE, Flecktarn and of course US M81 jackets are selling in fashion shops like the proverbial hotcakes.

    The kids rock on!

Dave and Gulf91 we ALL do not do that Laughing .I have tried to explain to my so called peers that surplus clothing is better than sweat shop fashion and last WAY longer and feels better. They do not listen. It is ok though. My stuff is not always falling out of my pockets and when winter rolls around I am not the one freezing in a Hot Topic hoody.Maybe I should go to Denmark.
