Photo thieves!
Like any good militaria collector ive just been having a good browse on the old ebay, and i stumbled across some mtp pcs and thought to myself 'i know that picture...', on closer inspection its my picture that ive put up on this forum to share my pcs, its the second time in a week that ive seen my pcs kit for sale on the site, first the smock now the shirt. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had thier pictures stolen and how you feel about it? Im not overly fussed to be honest, but would be nice if they asked?

Re: Photo thieves!
Also happened to me before. But what annoys me is when the "steal" pictures form my homepage and remove my name from the lower right corner.
That picture is also mine:

Re: Photo thieves!
This is why some photographers put a huge watermark across the center of their images.
It doesn't affect the viewing, but you sure can tell where it came from.

Re: Photo thieves!
I sold a rare-ish Special Forces book on EBay - weeks later another shows up, the vendor had not only stolen my photos but substantial slabs of the advert text as well. I put a complaint into EBay and they pulled it but I suspect the vendor closed the deal off EBay with the highest bidder anyway ...

Re: Photo thieves!
Unfortunately, it happens all the time.
I have found many times on Ebay my photos being used, and usually my entire description. They were too lazy to type anything, so they just cut and pasted my info.
I agree, that I don't mind that they do it, but just give credit for using your work.
I see that on many online forums, where someone will lift an image off of a website, but won't give credit to the website owner.

I've had it happen too. Some people are just too lazy to take their own photo and write their own text.

Re: Photo thieves!
Some guy copied my entire eBay description last week hoping to achieve the crazy final sale price I did a week earlier. I mailed him demanding a royalty but his listing fell far short of mine.

Re: Photo thieves!
Yup, though I personally don't like implants, especially ones the size of beach balls.
The stolen goods was actually business related and an Austrian customer of mine spotted it. He said I wasn't to ask why he spotted it

Re: Photo thieves!
LMAO. A bit like if you were to spot your neighbours wife on a porn' website. Would you tell him or not ? Would you tell her ?
We had a case in a company i used to work for years ago of a woman - our boss - who ran a porn' website of her with MUCH older men. VERY graphic In some shots she was in our companies car park, leaning over the bonnet (hood for our Colonial Cousins ) of her company car and with the company sign in the background and being given a serious seeing to by several guys who's vigour you just had to admire - especially for their age !
The guy who 'found' this website was in such a hurry to tell everyone that he forgot that we would all ask what he was doing on such a site in the first place !! She just became a legend within the company. What can you do when it's your boss ?
