    I know what SCW-1 is. What I don't know is why an individual would have an alphanumeric designation, instead of a name.

    Mr. N-9's name is actually written on the tag, but I blocked it out, just in case nobody is supposed to know it.

    Of further interest is that this coverall is NOT the standard G.I. type. The tag has no fiber content, nor any kind of DoD designation. It has a contract number, and a manufacturer, and Navy-specific washing instructions.

    Are people who operate in surveillance-aircraft not referred to by name?
