Very weird, I can think of no logical reasons for the smock to been tailored in this way????

The tan has been placed over the DPM so it's double layered.

Maybe fashion reclaimed or like American snipers , a padding layer ?

Does not look like a Tan piece of cloth, looks like the front of the Jacket has been turned over and pockets re-attached to what would have been the underside, still feel there would be no logical reason for doing this, I note the seller has described it as a 60's DPM jacket, jump forward 20 years that would be more accurate. scratch

Some numpty went silly with a sewing machine Rolling Eyes

Why stitch pockets and epaulettes to the inside of a jacket ?

either issue snow kit or overpainting green / DPM with white paint would be a far better camo solution.

Not worth tuppence and more so since the seller doesn't recognise a butchered 84 pattern jacket over a '68 pattern.
