'68, '77, '88, '95, 2000 etc. What are the main differences? I can't always tell what era DPM stuff is from, especially from 88 onwards.

Colour and print, '77 print is just P68, '77 is the Para & Sniper smock, I think.

Simple, you dont tell it from the print, colour, shape, amount of dots etc to the DPM print as that is pretty much irrelevant, you identify various garments/items from their physical features

As a rule of thumb DPM works loosely like this.
Early prints are large shapes in bright or light colours
Then it gets washed down with new shapes and colour changes
Late DPM is now smaller shapes and more darker print.
The only exception to the rule are the p94 crap which used a mixture of DPM screens but the DPM was printed on a yellow backed cloth.

From 88 nothing changes until we have MTP except the failed p94.
The camo remained the same from late 80's , it's just the cloth it's printed on (100% cotton to prolly cotton to ripstop ). The style of cut has also changed and pocket style, pockets for me are the best way to date.
