Beret badges, still a mystery? Empty Beret badges, still a mystery?

Still unidentified. First I thought both are nothing but fantasy insignias, but I've seen that some bosses, like Capt. Camara (Guinea) uses middle-type old German beret badge so maybe these are not fantasy items. So far got two tips. Could be made for use in Balkan area, or in Africa. Badges look like struck, but could also be cast in mould? Any ideas what these could be, why red stars and two different versions? The photos are enlargened. Actual size of both items is 5,4 cm (height).

Yes... but no country has, or uses, para insignias like these two are. The real mystery is why red stars and why two different types (gilt and "silver")?. Also, the attachment is well made.

    Albano,

Not a bad guess at all, but I got the badges with other traders from a little unusual source. However, I have to check what airsoft guys say.
