    Post by leekitch1975 Wed Sep 05, 2012 4:09 pm

Hi Iam new to the forum, I have been watching from afar and decided to take the leep and register...

A bit of background to me...I have been collecting camo for a good number of years and to be honest about 2 years ago I sold nearly all my kit as I thought there was only me out there who collected it!!!! It wasnt until I looked on ebay and saw the Desert Para smock...which I thought, very nice I didnt know they did a Para smock in Desert DPM...I did some digging and found this forum but also the OEF/OIF (i have registered also)...Cant believe there a fellow people like me who is obsessed if thats the correct word with British issued items...

I was in the Air Cadets for a number of years and then went into the TA, I tried to enlist in the early nineties but after the Gulf War 1, manning numbers etc were cut back so I never got in!! :@(

In terms of kit, I will have to start posting some pictures...I have a small collection to probably some of you guys, its all British but there are some bits which are American...

My pride and joy is my PECOC kit, I have Hybrid webbing, various patterns of Battle Bags (Hybrid, Tan, MTP etc), PECOC Windproof Smock (woodland), Two sets of PECOC shirts and trousers (woodland)and a brand new PECOC Buffalo Shirt (OG) !! The other parts of my collection are quite varied from a number of Falklands Parka's (I have very bright issued garment which is cool), to various Aircrew windproofs, multiple Para/Windproof (New & Old style)smocks, Black Ripstop Field Jackets, Woodland DPM Tank Suit, DPM Salopettes to name a few !! I could go on but I dont want to bore you all !! lol!

The one thing I hope you can help with, I am keen to expand my collection on British Issue Tan pieces, I only have a couple of items if that and i think they are awesome !! I have seen a set of Tan webbing on the this forum and desperate to obtain a set....if anybody could help and point me in the right direction that would be great !!!

I had to laugh at one of the earlier posts about sneaking bits into the house without the wife seeing...yep I have been doing it for years!!! If my wife ever gets to see my collection I think she may actually kill me !!! Erm had better go and now hide the MTP 95 smock just purchased in case the wife sees it and plays hell !!!

No problem Lee. I don't think anyone will have been offended. Like I said, you are among friends here Smile

Just might be worth reading the FAQ's etc at the top of the website to get you up to speed. There's even one about how to post photos Wink

Funny, I have a DPM PECOC shirt I'm about to put on ebay if anyone's interested ...... Very Happy
