My ABE

I got this for free from a friends dad.He swore up and down I left it at his house.A round about way of giving it to me with out seeming to nice I suppose lol I like it A lot,just wish it was a little bigger but it fits me good.This is a great improvement over the ABUs.I wore it on a three mile walk down the highway a noon and did not die so that is good.

IMHO, lots of you just assume everyone knows about the items you post, and never explain them. For those of us who're ignorant of said items, we may wonder "What is it? Why is this being posted?"

Airman Battle Ensemble.

An uniform grouping issued to various airman that preform duties outside the wire. Included is a nomex blend uniform blouse and trousers. Unlike the ABU the ABE is an actual combat uniform, with pocket configuration that is made for combat. It also includes a combat shirt in the ABU pattern made by massif. Various FR under garments were issued as well.

Ahhhh....... Thanks for the intel, Justin. Knew about the Massif shirts, because I have some-- but my ignorance about the ABE config kept me from even seeing the pen-pockets in the pix, etc.
