identify this smock - MTP Para smock?

hi all, i dont particularly have a great knowledge of smocks and im not aware if the british army were actually issuing MTP Para smocks? if that is what this is....

Some have been offered on E-Bay. They have been described as "modified" MTP smocks. AFAIK, they have come from only one seller. I think a Major general can have what he wants but as an ex Para, has he enough power to get such an item into standard issue?

In the most recent issue of "soldier" magazine the question about para smocks in MTP was asked, and in an answer from the MoD.....Yes para smocks in MTP are to be issued to units in 16 air assualt

Check ebay there are genuine ones but £100 odd.

Not seen any genuine ones myself on Ebay - but many purporting to be genuine.

I have 2 coming my way this week - genuine ones - both 180/112.

As you can see from the photo, senior officers will get them first Smile

His is a genuine made para smock. The conversions are all made form smocks and are of a different material.
