    MTP fading? Empty MTP fading?

Post by Raptor Mon Dec 24, 2012 3:07 pm

    Quick query lads,
I recently picked up a used CS95 cut MTP Lightweight jacket and i have noticed that on parts of the upper body and sleeves that some of the brown colour parts have taken on a "Pinkish " shade while on the lower arms and body the brown has well, stayed brown. Is that normal fading or the result of friction from CBA or webbing??Has anybody else noticed this with the CS95 MTP?

Might be fading due to sweat, repeated washing, wear and strong sunlight. Every other uniform regardless of country fades.....

If it's on the arms and not the torso and hte material is the same, then i reckon it's sun fading. Washing ought to make all the material fade evenly.

Upper arms and upper torso mostly.I thought it might have been down to wearing Osprey but the fading on the arms threw me as most lads tend not to wear the arm protectors.Curious.

Do you have any photos? it could be fake blood used to simulate injuries during training exercises, it does leave a pinkish/red color and is a pain to get rid of!
