Long time lurker, first time poster here with one of my few, but might be one of the best Christmas gifts ever. I received this sniper veil from my best friend's windowed mother who's husband collected mostly medals and patches. My wife cuts her hair and told me that there were two of these and one went to a museum in California along with a helmet.
This leads to believe (and hope) that this is the real deal. Hopefully some of the experts around will give me an idea if it is truly an authentic item. In my research, I have yet to see one with the bottom strap in place, but I found only a few period images overall.
Take a look at the pics and let me know your thoughts. If any others are desired for proper identification, let me know and I will get a different one posted.
