Irish wet weather jacket and trousers

Latest addition but the jacket is oversize so I doubt I'll be keeping this set. I do like to wear the jackets I have and I'm not so sure on having 'Property of Irish defence forces' stamped on my jacket either

I recently accuired a set as well, albeit in Large, and it's too cool for school!
The 'property of'-bit reminds me of the way certain outlaw biker gangs brand their belongings, be it motorcykles or womenfolk

Is that the set that ended on Ebay UK early this week?

Reason I ask is was tempted to bid but the description was confusing as seller had the jacket listed as a SMALL but apparently it had a 50"" chest

The newest version(2010 pattern) is made by Cooneen Watts and stone.It has a centre drawcord. The large tri-colour on the sleeve,the "Defence Forces Ireland" tab on the left chest.
They are s**te. Plastic bag type outer and the inner line is a very tactical off white
All in all no good.
I recently acquired one of the original trial waterproof suits.Proper Goretex stuff.Will post pics when i get a chance.pity they were too expensive for general issue.

It's a great set but the jacket I'm sure is made for a 7ft tall giant Sadly a short person like me cannot wear it without it drowning in it and looking stupid.

2017 Model Waterproof Jacket. Last issue of this design before the new Variant/Design came on stream from 2018. Item pictured is slightly different to the initial version of this design which came on stream in 2010 (see post 05 above) as the lining is darker and the DFI badge has been replace by the newer OnH badge. Main difference between this variant and the original 2003 version are the centre drawstrings and the badging.

The Jacket folds down into the "poachers pocket" on the inside rear when not in use and you can also pack the matching trousers in with it.
