Re: My DPM,MTP collection
DPM is still one of my absolute favourite patterns... It's a shame it's been relegated to the dustbin in favour of MTP.
But at least they kept DPM shapes in it as a reminder of its roots.

Re: My DPM,MTP collection
It was my understanding that MTP is an across-the-board replacement for all forms of DPM. When it was first introduced, it was used alongside existing stocks of DPM until those had been depleted or rendered unserviceable; then after a certain date it would be the only pattern in circulation and on general issue for the British military.mylle wrote:are they going to keep the desert ones?
Territorial Army units may still be actively using DPM, but I am not sure.

Re: My DPM,MTP collection
Ok thats interesting. I think i've heard that they will stop using the woodland DPM uniforms, but keep the desert DPM uniforms for ,,real,, desert needs.

They no longer issue either, but they keep hold of the woodland.

A very nice example, and that label makes it not later than 1972 so one of the earliest ones.

Hey Edward, thanks for the info.I didn't expect it was so old....
