Are you sure that is a USAF trials piece?
The pattern screams Japanese made, as does the grommets and construction of the hat. Plus the seller is a fairly advanced tiger stripe collector.

I recall several variants were trialled. However I can't see any USAF logo on the cap and it is a marine style cap...

The blue ABU prototypes did have an 8-point cover issued during wear testing...but I don't think this is one, it seems a little too gray.
