Gulf War 1 Iraqi Captured Grouping

Got this neat grouping from a friend...my first Iraqi items. Had to block out his name for privacy reasons. The black smudge on the back of the chest rig is where he signed his name and where he captured it...I blocked it out. I think I did well for my first time delving into the dark side of GW1.

The para unit was part of 8th As Saiqa Special Forces Division(spelling mistake in the letter). Negotiations for the smock and the chest rig were prior to the other items so they are not mentioned in the letter. They were captured at the Nasiriyah location as well.

Not sure, but the 1990 date may be wrong as well...he mentioned 1991 before, but what do I know...lol!

If you need to translate, you could try one of those phone apps that uses the camera to translate writing.
