Re: uae headgear
thanks gulf ,to be honest the pasgt clone is just an exported m87 south african composite but missing the saphi label that has been removed ,you can see the gum mark the helmet is a fraction of the weight of a us pasgt

Re: uae headgear
The M87 also has the better British type 3 point para chinstrap.

Re: uae headgear
very true graham,a design similar to the ww2 airborne helmet ,the uae had the israeli orlite before this m87 model ,that too had the same configuration chin strap

Re: uae headgear
The SADF used the M83 which is a copy of Israeli orlite with the 3 point chin strap previous to the M87 and I think the SANDF Paras still usethe M83 in preference to the M87. I know that I would rather use the M83 as a jump lid than the Fritz shaped M87 I would be paranoid that the rigging lines to my canopy would get caught under the helmets flared skirt. Photo is my M83 helmet with a SADF style cover that I made a year or so back. The helmet is actualy an Irish P83 with green webbing and paint and it is made by Orlite in Israel and a dead ringer shape wise to the SADF M83 hert is a photo of it less its cover

Re: uae headgear
Have a thing for Pasgt type helmets and Choc Chip is my favorite cammo so both combined with that helmet and cover= a winner
Somewhere on here I have an M87 that came with a battered Choc Chip cover and I think that turned out to be Iraqi?

Re: uae headgear
i remember that helmet gulf ,it did look well as i remembered ,to be honest the uae choc chip is weak facsimile of the us pattern it doesnt feel as good quality either ,i know which one is my favorite ,the original and the best
