    Alpaca lined?

    If so, that's a score-- in my opinion, for the sake of function. Not *quite* as toasty as shearling, but pretty close. Definitely better than poly-- at least for more civil, non-maritime applications (salt spray & alpaca could be terrible over time, I guess).

    Either way-- I like it.

    The liner, unfortunately, is not alpaca. It is a mix of wool and viscose material.

    Warm, but itchy if worn against the skin. Back in those days, function, not comfort, was a priority.

    This thing is still an amazing garment that has survived in excellent shape....
