I'll give it a go identifying with my newly gained DPM knowledge....... Wink

    It's a P84 smock - manufactured 1985 to about 1990.

It should have no lining (white inside), velcro cuffs, large bellowed pockets (not flat stitched), first field dressing pocket on the rear upper right arm as well as the left. The DPM pattern has proportionally more brown, and the green is "brighter" (more flourescent) and is "lightly spotted" compared to the previous "unspotted" late P68 camo pattern. If the pocket corners have additional stitching to keep them down on the uniform then it is a late model P84 smock made after 1988...

P84 was the least popular Temperate DPM uniform in terms of construction...

    Hope I'm correct...

85 Pattern Smock, widely regarded by those who it was issued to as the most shoddy bit of kit ever issued(apparently),with pockets falling off etc Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Nice to have the 4th Armoured Brigade sign on the smock, meaning it could well be an Op Granby / Desert Storm piece. The jersey has chevrons of a type in use several years earlier than the smock.

Late-ish 68 pattern smock and a mid-80s para smock in particularly nice colours and condition.

I was issued with 2 P69 smocks when I joined the Army in the mid 80s when one of them got badly damaged and needed replacing I was given one of those crapy P85 smocks probaly the worse bit of kit issued to the Army bloody thing fell apart in short order.
