This shirt is different from the others I have..The lower part is right, unlike the one here  that is round.. In the back, the seam is also different..

Very nice sleeping bag! I've never seen one like that before. Interesting how the top part is like a smock.

    Thanks..
I've also never seen one like this before. Even the shirt in the photos above, I've never seen one like this with this format at the bottom and back..

A couple weeks ago. I bought the BED BAG  from a Portuguese seller that is my friend.. Whenever he has rare items  he send me  pics  if I'm interested in buying.

Similar  olive green sleeping bags with built in" parka " were issued by Germany in the '70s and '80s.

The Bundeswehr style sleeping bag is amazing!! I've never seen any other nation use that design. The Germans had two versions. The first had the thermal part permanently sewn into the cover, the second one (wisely!) had it removable. I don't know how one cleaned the first model because the rubberized exterior certainly wouldn't hold up well to any sort of machine washing method.

I am not sure the years of issue for the Bundeswehr, but IIRC 1962 was the first date and it was dropped sometime in the mid to late 1960s.

As for the odd shirt... look for signs this was customized. To me it looks like someone needed a shirt that wasn't as long or quite as wide as a standard sized shirt. It is possible the bottom was cut off and rewsewn and the back was "pinched" to create a tighter fit in the chest.

    Beautiful beret collection!

Thank you Steve, and  Also for the information. On the shirt's label has the number 2 in size.

I do not have much experience in Military.. I  am  just a simple collector who loves to collect uniforms and other objects from the time of the Portuguese Colonial War in Africa. Between 1961 to 1974..

Three Portuguese cavalry Bayonet frogs. I bought for a decent price. One of them is in mint conditions.

Lovely Portuguese collection!! Perplexed by some of the berets tho' ... the blue one has what I thought was the paratrooper cap badge which I thought went on the green beret (for the colonial wars). I'm guessing the badge on the green beret is an earlier version?? I probably have some of my portuguese collection here somewhere but I suspect the images are currently held hostage by photobucket ... b'stards!

Yeah. Bast***ds. it suck  can't see the pics..

The badge on the  green beret is the earlier version used by the paratroops during the colonial war. The badge on the blue beret is  the later version, but also used by the FAP. *Portuguese air force*  I think Pedro Pato can explain with more details.

This is a rare T-shirt issued by the Portuguese army in the early 1960s. I am not sure the year that was issued. Probably between 1961 and 1963.

The bottom is different from the M964 drawing. The colors tones also are different from the latter models, and the tag is a very small white piece of cloth with single number embroidery in red indicating the size.
