Been doing a bit of research into Italian Navy patterns and have run into some really cool photos..

That is true; but the thread is entitled Italian Marines and Navy...  Sommozzatori , Arditi & GOI are also part of the Italian Navy..

I'm sorry! I was thinking that we were talking only about San Marco!

Notice that: in your last pics there are also "Lagunari" from rgt "Serenissima" based in Venice.
They have the same purpose of San Marco but they are detatched in Italian Army instead of Italian Navy as San Marco do.
They have the green/blue beret and wear vegetata since its introduction.

That's right. Italian armed forces include Naval Marines and an Army amphibious force called Lagunari..
