Re: THE HELMET THREAD
Hello,
See the 2xDPM covers in the Ireland section. It eplains this issue with the camo covers. Seems they were made wrong(backwards).
Thanks,
Scott

Re: THE HELMET THREAD
Very interesting looking M1 Rich, I would be very keen to see some detailed shots of the liner internals ,and of the shell!!
I have a couple of these myself, one came from a vet so I'm 101% happy with it, one other came off eBay a few years back, which I bought in good faith off a guy who was raising funds for his local legion club, both proven used pieces.
I am dubious about some of these lids on eBay at the present, I would need to see some fantastic detailed shots of the lid, before I drained my paypal account on them

Re: THE HELMET THREAD
I see its arrived Gary, very nice
My Argie M1 i love but would be interested to know if that panther type head denotes any particular unit or just an individual conscripts artwork.
Its in storage(pics taken a few years ago) but will try to dig it out.

Yes indeed, I must say I'm well chuffed with this one, I love my French Militaria so this one add's to my side obsession.
Regarding the Panther head, really have not a clue mate, I used to have a really good Argentinian contact on another forum, but we have lost contact ( well truth be known ,I can't be arsed to visit that site any more) but I suspect that there may well be a conscript artwork aspect to this one, it would be good to find out though, I've always liked the field artwork carried out by troops in conflicts.

Vietnam era M1
Hi Guys.
Here's another M1, this one is from my parts bin, and is missing some vital components, but is a nice example of a 1965 Firestone liner, and VN era steel shell.
