90 pattern plce (Olive)

I like the look of the OG stuff over the DPM; modern functionality and design, with a nod to the old stuff.

checked the dates on my plce olive set,1 utility pouch and yoke 89 dated, rest of pouches 90 dated, bayonet frog 88 dated

Check rear of your pouchas. Pattern90 is in the 2 various sorts - early and late.
Different is in the loop straps and belt straps.

Cant gto anywhere without a trusty shove!

Love the green PLCE webbing-have 2 complete sets,early and late and a complete set of DPM as well.

Also 2 complete green PLCE Bergens.

I have a incomplete set first PLCE pattern - 85Pattern. But I havn't ammo pouches to this

Will dig them out and take some pics.

Not sure about the bergens,think one is Long and other Short back and also have a Falklands era PRE PLCE Berghaus Roc bergen which was i believe what the later PLCE bergens were copied from???

Regarding the 90 pattern folding E Tool-was it issued with the green rubber US type Alice carrier that fits inside the PLCE web carrier or just the PLCE carrier on its own please?

I have been told that there was a alternate use for the E tool pouch, carry the E tool in the bergan, and use the pouch to carry a extra water bottle!
