I bought this at Exmil today for £4! so its a bargain in my books, its made from Heavier material than the CS95/S2000 Smocks, there is no label but an outline of where it was sewn and it is bigger than the Brit Labels, also the DPM is more of a Tropical shade than the CS95/S2000 Shades, other than that its pretty much identical to the Modern Brit DPM Windproof. Any ideas? Custom?

It's S2005 no S2000 because hood is not unbutton.
Maybe it is trial pattern or private company product?

It doesn't look like any current smock I've ever seen; the fabric is weird, it looks quite thick and almost shiny... without a tag, it is hard to tell what it may be.

It could well be one of the far east copies that work their way into the market as well.

A head-scratcher indeed. scratch Although for £4 that still isn't bad at all.

Thats why I'm unsure, although all the copies I've seen are 'Cheapo' colours, this is the same colour as one of my trop shirts, anyway a bargain it is! Smile

Maybe a commercial piece or non -Uk issued kit.. either way for four quid I would have picked it up..and been very chuffed with it too.

Sorry I can't help but thanks for showing it Wink

I previously owned one of these, can be bought off ebay from some bloke in Antrim, also has pit zips, note the small pocket on the right arm! Not bad and bargain for £4 but how many do you need? Enjoy!

TBH they are not that good! the issue type is more than sufficient and this smock is more try hard than die hard! it does what it says on the tin! HAve probably contradicted myself but hey!

There are printing errors in the Dpm found in the webtex print that can be found in this smock, the webtex smocks are described as jungle colours. I guess yours with wash and wear has faided badly leaving some ghostly type Dpm.

Is not Web-Tex. WebTex not make S2005 smocks. They are make a SAS Style Smocks with wool cuffs.

The cloth is that this is made is the same cloth used in the web- tex smocks.
The partial tag shown has a serial that starts with GC, British issue don't start with any letters only contain 13 numbers like this - 1234-12-123-1234. Also the tag is a funky plastic shiny thing, all tags are printed on cloth.

Trial items are marked trial either with a red label or in the serial number like my PECOC is.

This smock is an aftermarket smock sold to surplus shops like web-tex, BCB,viper, china replica,

The label is a copy of the 85 pattern smock label, the NSN is pukka but doesnt match the details when i entered the NSN onto Unicom etc. It does have pit zips which is a good idea! They can be bought for about 20 quid from an ebay seller in northern ireland.

£4 to £125! I don't care if its a repro smock, for that colour and price, I have to say its totally worth it!
