No worries, never had the chance to use one personally, deactivated or otherwise, but I am aware of their superb fire power, amazing to think they started out in US bombers.....

    Cool pic Mark!!! Wink

nice kit mate, the first RAF Regiment s95 shirt is pretty interesteing, it like a combination of the s95 and earlier pieces.

i have one of them temperate jackets, they are the s94 short lived garments that go funny when washed. the material tends to fade like mad and wears thin easy. the army dumped them in the surplus market about 6 years ago, think i paid £5 for mine new.

Its sorta strange why the raf regiment issues desert dpm in different cut and buttons, as well as airtex fabric...ive seen one raf airtex shirt with chest rank straps....its interesting

I agree the RAF,do tend to do things differentley with their kit, in fact most of my "oddities" have been RAF originated....more research is needed on this me thinks!!! Laughing

Thats strange-does it have an issue label?

I have a Gulf91 hat which has the large mesh backed vents and a later more modern type that has smaller unmeshed vents-never seen one without Shocked
