    My new Para Smock in DDPM. Its lighter than a normal Para Smock and has a Windproof type material, also it has a longer Desert Cuffs much like the ones on the SASS Force 8 and Kit Carry Smocks. The material and inner lining is very thin, and the inner is OD not DDPM, there are also no labels.

    I've heard there were 50 made for members of the 3rd Batt, Parachute Regt for Iraq and were made by SASS, how true this is I don't know.

    Maybe but I've seen these for sale online for £50 from a suplus chain in the January sales reduced from £100. Will get linky.

    The main zip - is it green like the Temperate DPM or is it desert colour ?

    Ahhhhhh that explains it.

    I saw a para smock at a car boot sale. Black with faint camo in backgrond. But zip was desert colour - must have dyed it and the dye did not work on the zip !!
