Hello, I just purchased this Coat, Hot Weather. 1977, but the tag is difficult to read.

There is a rectangular patch in the left shoulder, which I did not recognize. Is 10 x 3.5 cm, sewed in a poor manner, and I think could be civil. There is a mark beneath, remainings of glue from a patch of undefined shape, 5x5 cm roughly.

Can you identify it? Thanks in advance.

Unofficial wings for USMC Recon - have seen these as identified as Vietnam era. Strange that they are on the shoulder - they should normally be above left breast pocket.

Looks like they were used to cover the residue left from another patch. Note the remains of melted plastic or glue above and below the wings. Nice jacket and patch tho!

    Beautiful jacket/coat/blouse.
    Beautiful patch.

Not correct together,as the jacket/coat/blouse is not a USMC issue item.
( it does not have USMC and EGA logo { Eagle Globe Anchor } stamped on the left pocket ).
