    I think it is due to pure climate reasons. From May to early October the thinner Summer field shirt is more than enough to wear, once it gets colder one would wear the winterjacket without the Liner and if Winter kicks in very hard, one buttons in the liner, thats it. I think there is really no need for this demi season shirt in general. Or this is what the higher ranks might believe, at least. Wink
