That blue stuff is rather hard on the eyes! Very interesting set, though. Thanks for posting!

Re: Latvian camo made in Bulgaria?
the tiles on the back of the urban latvian looks like some type of brush/lizard camouflage pattern - maybe even an early portuguese lizard

Re: Latvian camo made in Bulgaria?
while I was sweeping through my pictures library looking for a picture for Koalorka for another thread I camo across this picture ... now zoom into the pic and check out the pants of the the guys standing at the back row (3rd to the 6th guy from left to right) ... isn't this camo on those trousers very similar to this on Rumen's tanker's set?

Re: Latvian camo made in Bulgaria?
It sure does look like it. The thing that doesn't make sense is that Ukraine always had its own uniform production since it inherited Soviet factories. So why would it import uniforms from Bulgaria when it was desperate to keep its own people employed? And why would it use uniforms in a distinctly Bulgarian military cut instead of the traditional Soviet cut the Ukrainians used all the way up until last year?
One possibility is that there was a bunch of spare cloth floating around the ex-Soviet sphere and one or more nations made uniforms out of it.

Re: Latvian camo made in Bulgaria?
it is very strange indeed Steve ... its a shame that one can't see the jackets underneath the blue tanker's winter jackets to see how these are made, cut-wise etc. oh well, it might just be another "ex-soviet" state camo mystery
