    After 1945, the French army recycled and/or copied quite a few American or British items. Here are a couple of French medical bags based on the US GI design. The one on the right is virtually the same dimensions as the original US type, while the one on the left is larger. I am wondering if the French also reproduced the special GI suspenders that were designed to carry these bags. Any ideas?

    And here are some original US GI bags that have been re-used by the French army - note the markings that the French have added.
