PECOC Hybrid DPM haul!

Some very interesting Hybrid DPM pieces I have just acquired.

First is the issued Day Sack.

Second is a rare piece, the Infantry 90l Bergan but heavily modified with 3 pouches to the front and also a 4th pouch under the lid. The Bergan itself has a IR patch to the front and has been lightly sprayed a Matt grey. I asked the chap who I bought it off the history, he just said it came from somebody Special!!


















90l infantry Bergan looks like it has been modified to mirror possibly the 'Airfield Support Bergan' which is issued?

Lastly a haul of new and grade 1 pouches...means I can have a working set of webbing rather than a display set!!

Good God Lee you've done it again!! You must have a sixth sense to sniff out PECOC! I'm in awe of the bergen, modified with a complete set of side pouches too! I dont know how you do it.

I made a couple of calls to some suppliers and on a whim, they have quite a bit of this stuff about (day sacks, Bergans and full sets of webbing) only problem being, they know how much it's worth therefore negotiation is key! I paid a small fortune for it but I think it's worth it, if anything, it will hold its value! The Bergan is awesome, very professionally modified, may be by JayJays ( a shop which customising field kit for all servicemen)..the chap didn't want to sell it but I twisted his arm!!! I tried to push him on who owned as I though it could be a Para/Pathfinder and he just said somebody Special who he gets kit of from time to time!!

Wow you sound very proactive! I completely agree that it holds its value, i think any pecoc kit will be desirable for a long while yet, i did wonder what you paid (not that id be so rude as to ask) but like you say a small fortune was probably worth it!

I also agree with your thoughts on the tailoring, it does look very professional like you say, i know of JayJays but have not dealt with them, but the tailoring is also on par with Dixies corner who i know is visited by 'them' from time to time.

Yep your right George, I wanted some Hybrid pieces and have been looking/waiting for some to come on Ebay but to no avail. Interestingly the guys I spoke with still had pieces to sell but no Osprays! So I'm still on the hunt for one! The 90L is a beast, the pictures don't do it justice.

The Hybrid webbing I have at the mo, I'm going to strip the pouches off, replace with the above but there will be spares... So there could be some New/Grade 1 and some pouches that have been slashed but repaired going for trade before I stick on ebay...

Id love a mk3 hybrid, thats the target recently! Thats my main focus these days, plate carriers, got five at the moment as i reluctantly let one go, always have my eyes peeled!

Agree George, saw one in the States brand new but it was an obscene amount of money he wanted for it... I'm not a plate collector but I seem to be acquiring a few at the mo...just waiting for a brand new DDPM MK2 Osprey. Seen as they made 1200 of the hybrid ones, hopefully some will surface?!

So Lee, how does it feel to have more Hybrid PECOC stuff than anybody else on the planet Earth?
