Yes, fantastic photos! I think these were produced mid 1980s through early 1990s, yes?? I have the second type which is in the same colors as the 1997+ uniform.
At first I thought it was silly to make the poncho so dark, but when you think about it a less contrasting pattern is probably better for rain conditions.
