    A friend of mine just returned from Tanzania and brought this statue/toy as a souvenir.

    We agreed that it is British inspired uniform. Maybe from WWI period. Can anybody provide us with little bit more info? Thanks

    Since it is from Tanzania, I would lean more toward some relationship with German East Africa. Perhaps the figure represents an Askari soldier from the German colonial forces? A very interesting piece.
