The above link is to a smock on evilbay its listed as Rhodesian now I know its not Rhodie but im not sure if its Indian or Paki, can anyone enlighten me.

Photo is from the evilbay listing.

I have one of these ( + a cap, + some spare cloth I use as a backdrop ).

It is a repro made by a small company called Kamabee Keep in the US and advertised on Shotgun News..

Will post a photo when I dig it out..

I dont think its Kambee Keep as the cut and fabric of their stuff is more modern looking

Yup. Kembee Keep. Im actually wearing mine right now. LOL. Its supposed to be Rhodesian, but the cut, color, and print are waay off. I badged mine up as a tracker uni.

Yup, looks like a repro of what is called the Butho smock, named because it was used during the time of PM Zulfikar Bhotto. The original is made of a light weight "Airtex" type cloth, not a smooth cloth as this one.

Although it does looks very similar, it is not a repro of the Pakistani pattern.

Shapes are different and the orientation is opposite.


The smocks in question were probably made  about  5 years ago. They were  marketed as " Rhodesian "  ...

Several other articles of clothing were made including a vest , and I believe shorts as well...

The ebay smock has been sold and was listed as airtex lined not constructed of airtex so it was probably a repo so some poor sod has been tucked up as it sold for $99 US

Mine is airtex lined too. I got the smock, pants, and recca hat, all XL, for $20 and it was almost brand new. Mine only has a size label too. Id have to check the pants and hat. One of them has the kambee keep label.

Well, I'd classify it as a repro of some sort. Repros can be really poorly done, after all The cut of the smock is obviously aiming to be the Bhuto type, even if not executed perfectly. The pattern appears to be aimed at looking like Pakistani, not Rhodesian. What people are trying to sell it as, of course, can be totally different. I've seen real Pakistani stuff sold as "Rhodesian", for example.

Well, whatever one wants to call this suit, it's neither Pakistani nor Rhodesian for sure. What we call it beyond that kinda doesn't really matter
