This is another from my NJROTC time. I was given this, a flight jacket, and a pair of pilot wings by a flyer heading to a new squadron that was transient in the barracks we were billeted in at Norfolk.

Which one does Magnum PI wear?

Marine Observation Squadron 2. VMO-2. In Magnum P.I. Rick and T.C. were supposed to have been members of the squadron.



Not a Navy blue cap, but I have the red velvet cap the Technical Representative from Rockwell International had made when he went to Da-Nang, Vietnam to show the boys thier new OV-10 Broncos in the mid-60's.

Cool!

Magnum was a SEAL right? So he must have been wearing a cap from Rick or T.C.



The red one is in an interesting piece of history.

Thank you. I was very excited when I got it. Rockwell was at the local airport and I grew up with my brother's grandpa(chief flight inspector) taking us up there to see new planes and talk to the test pilots.

Ya. supposedly Magnum's hat came from them. Not sure how they explained the connection anymore. Maybe flew out of the same area of DaNang or perhaps were the Bird Dogs that worked with Magnum's SEAL team.
