Tiger Stripe Shirt with Modded Sleeves

Hey all i picked up this shirt the other day at a local thrift shop. I mainly do modern gear and uniforms and dont know too much about the Vietnam era. Does this look to be an authentic theater-made TS shirt? Only markings i can find are a printed "L" on the inside collar, which i assume is the sizing. Looks like there might be a partial letter or number to the left of the "L" but i cant tell. Ive seen others on here marked with "US- and then the size letter".

Any info would be greatly appreciated

These are usually marked US ( follower by size ) , or A ( for Asian ) also followed by size...
