Found at a flea market a few years ago, a buyer had purchased only the 3 named medals and left the rest. I grabbed the lot and replaced the missing medals, but unfortunately, the seller only remembered the medals sold, not the name on them. The 3 I replaced were the Silver and Bronze Stars, and the Purple Heart. The last 2 are period examples, the SS is a newer made one. I wish I knew the name as the story of this long serving sailor has to be interesting. Definitely an officer as no Good Conduct in at least 15 years of service. Of note are the China Service Medal, American Defense Medal with BASE bar and Naval Reserve Medal. The Asiatic/Pacific Campaign Medal shows evidence of 2 missing stars.
