Beware of new repro of Soviet 1st model stair step (birch) camo uniform

Just saw this on eBay. It looks to be a near exact copy of the first model stair step (Birch) camo uniform with exposed buttons:

The seller is being honest about what it is (though deluded about the value) and has left the very obvious commercial tag in the neck. As long as that remains in place it's obviously not original. Sliced out identification becomes more difficult!

Correct.  I had one in my collection for a while before I got rid of it honestly.  Pretty tough to know it was a repro unless you knew what to look for.  Now we have another one to keep an eye open for.  There might be a lot of these floating around for years to come if the Russians have cranked these out in large numbers.

I notice the seller has had to relist it several times now. Maybe $450 isn't the best starting price?
