Adro/Adder camo clothing

A few more bits have been unearthed associated with the collection from which the Niemoller kit being discussed in another recent thread emerged, but starting a new thread here as this isn't web gear.

This is Adro/Adder camo clothing that, based on a scan of threads here, I take to be commercial Rhodesian pattern stuff but, again, this is outside of my knowledge wheelhouse.

Two shirts, one pair of pants, a boonie hat, and a jacket. All of this, but one shirt, has an Adro label. The remaining shirt is Adder-labelled. Seeking confirmation of what exactly this is. Thank you.

Yes, 100% commercial. This was available through US Cavalry, Brigade Quartermasters, and other surplus outlets back in the late 80s and early 90s. South African made, and although they are labeled by two different companies, they were essentially the same business.

Although they are not very good copies (either in pattern or uniform style) of original Rhodesian military uniforms, they are nice, well-made uniforms. The material is sturdy, and I always especially liked the M65 pattern cut of the bush jacket. I still wear mine from time to time.

And short shorts they are. So emblematic of the 80s.

I used to have some of the purple and black "Shadow" camo put out by this same company. Sadly it was stolen from me. I remember that this was actually carried by a surplus store near where I lived in the late 80's, and they had both this "Faux Rhodie" and "Shadow" stuff in quantity. Being this was brought into the US when SA was on the naughty list it was quite exotic at the time.

I still have the full set of the Rhodesian camo, even the t-shirt still in the plastic bag. A full set of shadow as well, sans the t-shirt.
