Thanks G, it's based on SURIPAT . Here are a couple photos of an earlier type in this pattern..
The 3rd photo is quite interesting. This Major wears a later type . Same type as the post that leads this thread.
Apparently, the Major was deployed to Mali at some point, and was likely part of the same contingent in which Portugal was also a member.
On his right shoulder, he wears a Portuguese Parachute badge and a Second Para battalion patch which recently served in operation Minusca in Mali.. Patches are commonly traded among members of these missions.

Great find rip, a very seldom seen one for sure. It seems Ethiopia copied or nearly copied this pattern a few years after Tunisia introduced it, though the Ethiopian one features the silhouette of their country in the pattern.
