I've often wondered when/where guys would get a chance to wear one of these in desert. I'm guessing it can get pretty cold at night. I have a couple of these without unit patches but with "US ARMY" & name tapes. I've been wanting to saw a patch on.

It is a common misconception that the desert is oven hot, 24/7, year round..You wouldn't believe how cold the desert can get in the winter!! I've see ice on the ground before. And not that it is really cold, but even in the middle of the summer you can get chilly at night. When the temperature drops from say 120 to 80 degrees, you are talking a big difference in temp. May not sound like much, but that 20-40 degree drop is felt at times!
