Re: Arid CADPAT
I think both the small and large flags are IR . I got very lucky , he sent me this set as an extra , he even waited to ship his end until he got it , just dumb luck !!! Like I said in the other thread , I got to send him something good for all this !!!

Re: Arid CADPAT
Does it have tags? if so whenever you get a chance, I would love to see what genuine cadpat tags look like..

Here are some photos of my Cadpat Arid Sniper Smock. It has a very interesting construction, heavily padded and covered in foliage loops. There are also braces built into the jacket to support the trousers.

Re: Arid CADPAT
seeing these remind me of one of my biggest mistakes....not buying the set of arid trousers for $50 when i saw them...and the guy had several sets, main reason I didn't buy, was I was wanting the jacket too, but now...I will take anything I can get...

YeoW! That sniper set is fantastic! I can't even imagine how rare that set is. They probably only made a few hundred, tops. Congrats.

More Arid Items
First we have a Cadpat Arid Gore Tex rain suit. This is the best designed and constructed issue rain suit I have seen. It has many features only usually found on top of the line commercial suits from manufacturers such as Archteryx.
Next we hace the Drop Zone Recce smock in Cadpat Arid. This seems to be made of the same material as the Gore Tex suit shown above.

Re: Arid CADPAT
Here is my complete set finally...sorry for the mess in the rest of the room, I ran out of space to store things long ago. This set belonged to a friend of mine and was in Afghanistan in 2006-07(Task Force Orion).

Re: Arid CADPAT
Ha ha..looking great...the only thing about CADPAT TW/AR is the weird camo they put on the daisy chains on the boonie caps. Everything else looks great and is well designed too!
congrats!

Re: Arid CADPAT
Nice , I now think the real stuff does not have the type and content of the cloth , the ones that say 50/50 cotton/poly or whatever are the ones made for the civilian market , although I could be wrong .

Re: Arid CADPAT
Here's a seldom seen piece of CADPAT AR kit, the earliest LBV made in the arid version, expeditiously after the minor scandal of Canadian troops being deployed to Afghanistan in standard green CADPAT.
It's like the old OD-green "Bosnia" vest, lots of storage and very complicated to manufacture. There are even two pouches on the front and back faces for armour plates. Stamp shows a date of June 2003. Poorly received and quickly retired for a more modern tactical vest in AR CADPAT.

Re: Arid CADPAT
I just bought this off of ebay so these are the pictures he sent me but it says nylon and cotton and my woodland one does not say that. So i don't know if it's real or fake but i could care less, it also has sleeve pockets on it. Where those put on there by the soldier or do some come like that.
