I hope you are aware that that helmet cover is a fake. No such existed. The cloth band is also about its width to high.

Time to resurect this methinks
There are some cracking weathered repros on ebay these days. Rusted, painted looking very heavily used and for under £100. For those collectors who's pockets aren't deep (like me) they are a great solution.
Must say that I've always hankered after a post WW2 Fallschirmjaeger or GSG9 helmet ........
I'll see if I can dig some photos out to put on here.
