That is pretty swell, I have never found a nicely badged set, the most I have come up with is a set with shoulder rank...nice find!!!

Re: SFOR Shirt badged with Beret
That is a nice shirt, The Division Salamandre is a joint French/ German unit and I know they had some units in the Sarajevo area when I was stationed there. It's hard to tell from the picture, but are there any letters or numbers after GECONSFOR on the pocket patch?

Re: SFOR Shirt badged with Beret
It is a beautifully badged shirt. These are quite rare as the badging is usually removed and kept by the soldier or sold off to badge collectors at stupidly high prices. There's about $25 worth of badging on there!
The Spanish are also a part of the Salamander Division. The actual units assigned to it rotate, so as far as I know the "division" is more of an administrative unit than an organic unit. For example, the Franco-German Brigade is permanent.

Re: SFOR Shirt badged with Beret
Hello,
you need a red beret.
What you mean with W.G. ???
This Patches with the ISAF Ribbon is yust a NATO Patche, i mean it will be used from every Nato Soldier, no matter from with country! It was the Same at my time in Kosovo.... We have also used this kind of Patches.
When i see the Camouflage inside the Patche i think its Italien Camouflage!!! There are many different ISAF patches, you can not really say who they are!
i got alot Crests from the Bundeswehr also for the beret. Now its all in Boxes, i chance my Flat soon. When its all finished i sent you the Crest!
Greetings

Re: SFOR Shirt badged with Beret
Sorry But i see i was wrong with the color..... under the SFOR Patches you see the Patche with the two flags! This is in the Bundeswehr a Armoured Reconnaissance UNIT. Every Unit Patche from the Reconnaissance UNITs has this kind of 2 flags!
Thats means for me he has used a Black beret with this Crest!
http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Datei:Pzaufklmtl.jpg&filetimestamp=20070321110925
The color is alitle bit the Same like Signals from us, so its easy to make a mistake.
But Now its right
mfg

Re: SFOR Shirt badged with Beret
I apologize my friend , yes I meant West German , as a collector , there is a separation for East and West still to this day to identify different Items for people who need it , It has become a bad habit for me LOL , thanks again ,I am glad the patch can be used for my German uniform ! that is good news as I see many with different camouflage patterns in the back ground .
I now will find the correct Beret for my SFOR Shirt .

Re: SFOR Shirt badged with Beret
panzerwerk....the Battalion badge on your shirt/jacket is for "Aufklarungsbatallion 13" (Armoured Reccon) which was part of the 2nd contingent of the "Salamander Division", this Battalion is normally garrisoned in Gotha. The shoulder strap colour slip-on, should be Goldgelb(Golden yellow) for this particular unit. I also have a 1997 dated shirt/jacket from this Battalion, ranked "Stabsfeldwebel" with most of the same badges applied, except for the GECONSFOR pocket patch, it does not look like it ever had one.
Hope that helps,
Prost ! Steve.
