Does anyone know if the AIRSAVE body armor was used by any of the USAF Special Operations Forces? Does anyone have information about the AIRSAVE body armor period? I found the pics on specwargear.com, but very little information. Any help is appreciated.

I have seen lots of photos of USAFSOC personnel, but only one in particular that I can remember seems to show them wearing anything resembling Airsave. However, the vest worn by the airman in the middle doesn't look exactly like the Airsave vest on SpecWarGear, so it may not be, or it could be a variant... I'm not sure. But here's the photo for reference:

this is the only thread about the AIRSAVE vest I may be able to acquire one locally with the soft inserts; have anyone ever found more info on who other than aircrew may have used it?
