Some Jugoslavian Army (Vojska Jugoslavia or VJ) patches removed from confiscated uniforms in Kosovo, all a little different. All the items that were confiscated went for destruction, but off course we managed to sneak a few of them away.

Re: Vojska Jugoslavia patches
Unfortunately too much stuff is destroyed....and good old collectors like us cannot get ahold of the stuff...I managed to get ahold of about 7 uniforms & 6 jackets/coats/vests.....from there...most of which came from a guy who used to sell on ebay....I contacted him about getting more stuff and he hooked me up really well...The strange thing about Serb/Yugo stuff is like your patches everything seems to be so different in design...I have seen so many variations of the same patch....same jacket..etc. kind of weird...seems from the photos i have seen over the years, there were no standards of dress...sort of a free-for-all thing going on.

Re: Vojska Jugoslavia patches
The most common one (well, as far as I could see from what we had lying around) was the upper one to the left.
It was possible to buy a series of books called Peacekeeper Recognition Guide (volume 1 & 2 from the IFOR and SFOR mission in Bosnia & Herzegovina and volume 3 from the KFOR mission in Kosovo) in the different PXes. There are something like 5-6000 pictures in the three books and they must cover all the nations participating in the different missions, even Iceland which had a small contingent of doctors and nurses serving with the British Army in Bosnia.

Wow, lots of awesome-looking patches!
Vicka, what are the two patches in the bottom left of your post? They look really cool.

Re: Vojska Jugoslavia patches
They say politsiya (police), but I'd like to know the region/unit and other stuff. They do look really cool. I've got about 6 of the ones listed but nothing compared to this cool assortment. I've never seen many of them, including the two on the bottom left. I wouldn't mind knowing more about all of these. Especially the two bottom rows, everything on the right side, and the one between the Arkan Tigers and the Scorpions patches. Thanks for the picture vicka1971. I love serb patches. They always look interesting.
