Desert Trousers & Button-Down Beltloops Empty Desert Trousers & Button-Down Beltloops

    Post by Camo_fiend Tue Apr 27, 2010 7:38 pm

As I look to expand (yet again) my British DPM collection... lol!
I have come across a site that sells what I thought were Operation Granby-era desert DPM trousers and was about to order but sent them an email to confirm.

They told me these trousers have the button-down loops like the older DPM trousers, but have the larger slotted buttons held on by webbing tabs. Are these the "prototype" trousers that'd match up with the one type of shirt Steve G. mentioned; that has shoulder epaulets & the front rank tab?

    Any help would be appreciated.

This sounds like the standard S2000 trousers to me. Canadian style buttons should be on everything S2000 related. The oddball shirt I think you're talking about was likely a late S95 type as it did not have Canadian buttons.

I wish someone could explain all the sub variants with dates Very Happy

I have a pair of S2000 trousers though, and they don't have button-down loops, they have the standard fixed belt loops... GRRR British kit can be so confusing! lol!
